Designer’s Victorian riverside home

Designer Claire Botha’s Teddington home originates from 1861 and is today an expression of informal elegance. Fully embracing the building’s Victorian heritage, this property has been completely reimagined with a bold, moody colour palette and playful spirit, blending vintage and contemporary pieces collected over many years that together form a striking yet elegant style that’s both comfortable and liveable.

I’m inspired by period architecture – from Georgian townhouses to sixties tower blocks – and strive to create a narrative that celebrates the character of a building while introducing a fresh modern aesthetic that feels comfortable and relevant to the present day.
